Seven Links Challenge

Today I don’t have a recipe for you.

Well not one, anyway.  Today I have seven (yes, seven!) recipes for you!

No, they’re not new.  But I promise you, they’re all delicious.

I was recently tagged in the Seven Links Challenge by both Victoria from Mission Food and by Lynne from 365 Days of Baking.  So I figure it’s time to stop procrastinating, and to get to it.

Without further ado, here it is, my Seven Links Challenge:

1. Most Beautiful Post: Bibimbap

2. Most Popular Post: S’mores Bars

3. Most Controversial Post: Matzoh Bagels

4. Most Helpful Post: Crustless Asparagus Quiche

5. Post That Was Surprisingly Successful: Handmade Za’atar Spiced Pita Bread

6. Post That Did Not Get the Attention it Deserved: Turkey Keema

7. Post You Are Most Proud Of: Quinoa and Israeli Couscous Risotto with Spinach and Parmesan and BIG NEWS!

And now, I get to “tag” five more bloggers to participate:

1.  Reeni - Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice
2.  Debbi – Debbi Does Dinner Healthy
3.   Maris – In Good Taste
4.  Raven – RavieNomNoms
5.  Brandy – Nutmeg Nanny

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!  And even if I didn’t tag you, feel free to try it out… it’s fun to go back through and reread some of your old posts!

M&M Rainbow Cookies

Can someone please clear something up for me?

I seem to be confused.  Because up until this past week, I thought I lived in New York.

But now?  I’m not so sure.  After an earthquake, a hurricane, and a tornado?  (Ok, a tornado warning.)  You can see why I’m questioning my location.

Now I’m thinking maybe I’m in California.  Or Florida.  Or…. Kansas, perhaps?

It’s disconcerting to say the least.

Because I am a true NY kind of girl.  I know what to do there.  I know how to be safe.

I know not to assume a yellow cab is going to stop at a crosswalk just because the light’s red.  I know not to make eye contact with anyone on the subway.  And I know never to assume a puddle came from rain.  Gross.

But when it comes to dealing with tornadoes?  My experience is limited to ruby red slippers and munchkins in the land of Oz.  And for earthquakes?  A very special episode of Saved by the Bell comes to mind.

Needless to say, I’m thrilled that the weather forecast predicts clear skies for the next week.  I don’t think I could take much more of this crazy weather.

And if sunny skies aren’t exciting enough, here’s your very own rainbow after the storm, in the form of delicious M&M Rainbow Cookies!

Nutella Pull Apart Bread

Remember that delicious looking, ooey, gooey, doughy, nutella-y pull apart bread that I served at my Brinner Party?

You know, the one I promised to post about, but never did?

Well, it’s up!  Finally!  Just head over to 365 Days of Baking for my guest post featuring the deliciousness.

Thanks again, Lynne, for letting me guest post on your blog!

Overnight Oatmeal

I am not going to talk about the fact that my last post was four weeks ago.

Or the fact that that was also for the Secret Recipe Club.

Or the fact that I have been so obsessed focused on wedding planning stuff lately that I’ve barely even made anything good for dinner, let alone blog worthy.

No, I’m not going to talk about any of that.  Instead, I’m going to focus on oatmeal.

You see, I eat oatmeal for breakfast every workday morning.  That’s five times per week.  Of oats.

And while I do enjoy my oatmeal, there are some days that I just want something…. else.  Not to say anything bad about oatmeal.  But let’s be honest, it’s not the most exciting thing in the world.

So when scoping out recipes on Eat Little, Eat Big, the last thing I expected was to find an oatmeal recipe that I would want to try.  And I definitely didn’t expect to find an oatmeal recipe that I would want to try and share.

But that’s exactly what I found.  There was something about this version of Overnight Oatmeal that caught my eye.  It’s different.  It’s interesting.  Intreguing, even.

Ok, maybe not intreguing exactly.  But it is definitely different!  Look:

1.  You don’t cook it.  Just the opposite, actually.  You make it in the refrigerator.

2.  It’s more protein packed, as it contains both Greek yogurt and your choice of milk.

3.  The taste…  It’s great!  I like my traditional weekday morning oatmeal, but the addition of the yogurt, cinnamon and honey make this version a real treat!

You don’t have to take my word for it.  Check it out for yourself!  This recipe is so easy to make, there’s no reason not to.
